ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Marina Dozier is a woman of strength, purpose, and unwavering resilience. A co-author of The Resilient – Volume Two, Marina shares her story not just to reflect on her journey, but to inspire others to rise above their own struggles. As a seasoned Human Resources professional working for one of the largest school districts in Atlanta, GA, she brings decades of experience in people development, conflict resolution, and organizational leadership.
Born in Ohio, Marina’s path has been shaped by both personal and professional triumphs. After 21 years of marriage and the profound loss of her husband in 2015, she found new purpose in helping others reclaim their power. Her story includes navigating the quiet, often unseen reality of abuse—and emerging not as a victim, but as a victorious, thriving example of hope and transformation.
Marina is the founder of Starting Pointe, her own human resources consulting firm. She is also a licensed insurance professional and certified mediator, offering guidance to individuals and organizations with empathy, strength, and integrity. Her leadership also extends into ministry—she proudly serves as a church administrator and is an ordained Elder, using her faith and spiritual calling to support, guide, and uplift those around her.
Above all, Marina is a proud mother of three and grandmother of nine. Her family remains at the heart of her purpose, and her mission is clear: to show her children, grandchildren, and anyone facing adversity that pain does not define you—your perseverance does. Her life is a testament to the fact that while struggles may come, they do not last forever. You can overcome. You can succeed.
